Guanacaste

In the North Pacific of my country, we have the beautiful province of Guanacaste. A hot, mountainous area with some of the best beaches in the country. Very warm people and a lot to offer. Some of my recommendations:

Liberia: 

Some people fly directly to Liberia and it is a good decision although they may miss the essence of the country. In the capital of the province you will find all the services necessary before a good road trip.

Tamarindo

A surf-party town that lights up all year long. Good waves for beginners and abundant nightlife. A backpacker spot that competes for the best vibe in this area.

Roca Bruja 

Within the Santa Rosa National Park we have the legendary Roca Bruja spot. A legendary wave that gives surfers around the world one of the best tubes of their lives especially in winter. (Dec- xxx)

Rincon de la vieja 

I love this volcanic area for trail run training and I try to go compete here every year. Impressive landscapes and intense volcanic activity.

Isla Catalinas

A boat trip from Flamingo can take you to the Catalina Islands, one of the most popular spots for traveling and with many great white sharks.

Isla Murcielago

The house of the Bull Shark, one of the best diving spots in the country. Advanced Diving

Avellanas 

One of my favorite waves in the province, a very noble wave and a perfect sea for all tastes.

Playa Negra

An arid area but with beautiful beaches and lots of waves.

Playa Grande

A surf town next to Tama with excellent waves.
